Huawei India’s ‘ABC’ proposition for mobile broadband solutions
Unlike its Western World counterparts who cater to only HSPA/WCDMA network gear, Huawei’s solutions for mobile broadband span the entire gourmet of technologies including not only HSPA/WCDMA but also WiMAX. In fact its portfolio is truly comprehensive considering the fact that it also has a range of end-user terminals supporting mobile broadband services.
While the terminal portfolio includes handset terminals, Huawei has also come up with some unique CPEs (customer premise equipments). One such futuristic CPE includes E5 which is a Wi-Fi CPE supporting HSPA platform. The CPE will be of tremendous use particularly to enhance in-door coverage in 3G ecosystems. Huawei has also designed a mobile terminal which can support both GSM as well as Wi MAX platforms.
Huawei Technologies are working on tapping this upcoming opportunity in India and has lined up its comprehensive mobile broadband portfolio around three fundamental factors collectively known as ‘ABC’ proposition.
The ‘A’ in ‘ABC’ stands for ARPU, a factor for Indian service providers who till now have failed to keep a check on the dwindling numbers. Huawei says its mobile broadband solutions can help operators realise increased ARPUs by way of enabling delivery of targeted and differentiated services.
The ‘B’ stands for Bandwidth and Huawei promises that its solutions will ensure network scalability, backhaul compatibility as well as address issues of core network.
The ‘C’ in ABC stands for Cost and according to Huawei it works closely with operators to precisely identify the costs to be incurred in offering such services as well as offering solutions to keep this factor at the bare minimum levels.
