InfraGard National Members Alliance (INMA) and Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) Form Partnership
The Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) and the InfraGard National Members Alliance (INMA) have agreed to a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to leverage the reach and expertise of two leading non-profit security organisations and promote their shared missions.
Information systems remain a key component in organisational and national security. ISSA and INMA share a belief in protecting this critical infrastructure by sharing information through networking, training and education for their members and communities. The ISSA represents 10,000 members in 70 countries and 146 chapters. INMA represents over 37,000 members across 85 chapters in the United States.
ISSA President Kevin Richards said “ISSA and INMA share a significant number of members already. By forming this agreement we will further promote security awareness in a variety of communities and allow for more cross pollination of ideas between our memberships. Many of our chapters already work together; this agreement will further encourage the collaboration.”
INMA Chairman Dr. Kathleen Kiernan stated “the combined expertise amongst the members of both InfraGard and ISSA can be utilized to not just call attention to important critical infrastructure issues, but also find solutions.”
The partnership will be highlighted by a presence of each organisation at the other’s national meetings later this year. In regions where the two organisations already share close relationships, such as in Chicago, will be further highlighted by both organisations.
