Customers of Halifax and Bank of Scotland, part of the Lloyds Banking Group in the U.K., found they couldn't access their account information online, due to a glitch in a major IT systems upgrade over the weekend, the BBC reported on its website yesterday.
The banks had warned of disruption while they worked on the new system, BBC reported.
Customers still couldn't see all the details yesterday, and the Bank of Scotland was working to fix the glitch, according to the website.
"We've made some changes to our online banking system this weekend," the BBC cited a statement from the bank. "We're aware that there is currently an issue that means that customers cannot see a full history of their transactions when they log into their online banking. We're sorry for the inconvenience that this is causing, it will be resolved as soon as possible today."
The glitch may also have affected some branch IT operations, the BBC reported on its website and that further details were not available.
